OctoberRest in Red River, NM

We just returned from OctoberRest Saturday, October 10th.  We feel blessed that we were able to go.  Faith Mountain Fellowship puts this on every year for pastors and missionaries.  The church works hard to make this a very special time for those attending.  The praise and worship team were so inspiring and you knew that God was in that place.  We were ministered and encouraged also by some wonderfully anointed people.

Here to the left, you see us with just a few of the couples who attended with us.  Some we had met before, but were able to really take time to know them better and others we met for the first time.  It was a wonderful way to see how God brought us all together, knowing that these friendships would grow as we work together.

Since being home for two days, we have worked to send Jose off to Mexico with the vision team from First United Methodist Church in Marshall, TX.  He will return on Monday the 19th.  Please pray for Jose, the team and the Mexico field during this time.  As you can see, Jose is packed, ready to go, but Winston our cat seems to think he's been gone to much and is trying to stop him from leaving.  Next time we may put him in the suitcase and take him back to Mexico where he came from. :)

Jose was recently in Mozambique from September 8-19 serving as the evangelism shepherd for our national workers.

It was a joy to bring a word of encouragment to our Mozambican brothers and sisters. I participated in a seminar for evangelism trainers sharing how they are a part of the worldwide evangelistic movement with OMS International.

I am standing with the evangelism coordinator, Juka Fernando, in northern Mozambiuqe in front of the property where an evangelism center will be built.  A training center that will prepare more men and women to work in the 92 village churches already started.

It's always a joy to bring t-shirts representing ministries that pray and support the work in Mozambique.  Juka and his wife Elina and daughter Milca are holding a VBS t-shirt and Wish Lemons Run t-shirt from First United Methodist Church, Tulsa, OK.
